Hi, Lara. I am new to your blog, and I am just a newbie in food photography. I mean I take a lot of pictures, but I am far from putting things together to make it nice, let alone doing the lighting stuffs. I have lack of techniques but I am eager to learn. So, I'd love to learn this by many food bloggers whose photos are brilliant and intriguing. You're one of them. Cheers!

I have to admit, I usually use dyptichs when I'm limited in my choice of images and even the best one isn't that great, so to make up for it, I stick one of the main ingredient on the side. Seems to work 90% of the time!

I do love Dyptichs though, they make an image so much easier to read and they look so cool - Can't wait get started on this one.

Ilva - Great point! I'll get something written up.

In the meantime, here is a thread <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/diptych-this/discuss/72157594489838466/" rel="nofollow">on Flickr</a> with lots of ideas.

Lara, you are touching upon something that I really would like to learn how to do (I'm quite ignorant about Photoshop and its possibilities) so please please couldn't you do a post how to make diptychs, triptycks and quadrotychs, the 'technical' how to do it? I think we are quite a few who would like to try that out! PLEASE?
